At the prestigious Future Economy Gala 2025, held on May 20, MANPRES was awarded the “18 Years of Excellence in Press Distribution in Romania” Trophy. The distinction was presented by Her Excellency Ramona Chiriac, Head of the European Commission Representation in Romania, who also delivered a laudatio in honor of MANPRES, recognizing the company’s outstanding contribution to the development of Romania’s press distribution industry.
The event, which also marked the official launch of the latest edition of Future Economy – Women & Men CEOs Leading the Romanian Economy, gathered top business leaders and public figures to celebrate excellence, innovation, and long-term impact in the Romanian economy.
This year’s gala carried a double significance, coinciding with MANPRES’s 18th anniversary, as well as Romania’s 18 years as a member of the European Union. The dual milestone symbolized a parallel journey of commitment, growth, and shared European values.
In his acceptance speech, the MANPRES representative recalled the emotional moment of January 1, 2007, when, in Bucharest’s University Square, thousands of Romanians welcomed the country’s entry into the EU with Beethoven’s Ode to Joy. “That night marked a turning point for Romania — a moment of unity and promise that continues to inspire our mission,” he said.
The award also provided a moment for personal gratitude. A special thank-you was extended to Manea Florina, praised for organizing an exceptional and memorable event.
The recognition reflects the dedication, professionalism, and sustained efforts of the MANPRES team, whose work has shaped and supported the evolution of Romania’s press distribution market for nearly two decades.
