Bittnet Group celebrates 10 years of presence on the Bucharest Stock Exchange

10 years ago, on April 15, 2015, Bittnet Systems S.A. was listed on the AeRO market of the BVB, being the first company in the IT industry whose shares became tradable on the stock exchange. Later, on June 3, 2020, Bittnet shares were admitted to trading on the BVB Regulated Market.
During Bittnet’s decade on the BVB, investors have made over 100.000 transactions with over 500 million Bittnet shares, worth over RON 250 million. Bittnet’s market value has increased almost 14 times since listing to date.
Bittnet Group has also chosen, over time, to resort to capital market mechanisms for financing, listing nine bond issues on the BVB. The most recent bond issue (stock symbol: BNET28A), with a total value of RON 6.6 million, entered trading on the Regulated Market of the BVB in May 2024 and will reach maturity in 2028. Three other bond issues of Bittnet are currently tradable, namely: BNET26E, BNET27A, BNET28. The four active bond issues are worth a total of RON 31.6 million, and the remaining five were redeemed early or reimbursed at maturity. The company paid interest of over RON 13 million through the mechanisms of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
“Bittnet has paved the way for companies in the IT industry to the capital market. Since 2015, when the company’s shares entered the AeRO market of BVB, and until now, Bittnet has made the most of the financing possibilities through the capital market, as evidenced by the bond issues listed during this time, as well as the transfer to the Regulated Market in 2020. After Bittnet shares entered trading on BVB 10 years ago, several companies in the field of software development opted for listing, which shows that the capital market offers solid levers for the expansion of the IT sector,” stated Adrian Tanase, CEO of BVB.
“Over the last decade, Bittnet has grown with the capital market, and I hope it will continue to do so for a long time to come. I congratulate the Bittnet team for its accelerated development and motivation to diversify its areas of activity, all of which were possible thanks to the financing obtained through the capital market as well. Through its long presence on the stock exchange, Bittnet has gained more visibility and trust among investors, managing to list nine bond issues and have several capital increases in the 10 years since the listing. I wish them a successful journey and as many decades of presence on the stock exchange as possible,” said Radu Hanga, President of BVB.
“These 10 years are not about what we were, but about what we can become. If we managed to build so much in the first decade as a listed company, we could imagine how much we can achieve in the coming years – with the experience, team and capital we have now. For us, the stock exchange was not just a destination, but a partner on the road, which helped us transform ideas into projects, and projects into real impact,” said Mihai Logofatu, CEO of Bittnet Group.
