“The opening of the new MEGA-format store in Suceava brings us closer to achieving our goal of surpassing the threshold of 250 Agroland stores this year. The expansion plan follows a period in which we consolidated the foundations of our network and identified areas with the highest potential for the MEGA format. The performance recorded by these stores in 2024 confirms the efficiency of their enlarged format, addressing a broad range of customers in or near urban areas, interested in gardening, hobby farming and who own pets. Our strategy was also supported by the vertical integration of our group through the acquisition and development of the poultry platform in Mihailesti, the feed factories in Caransebes and Isalnita, and the pet food factory. We continue to have ambitious investment plans, both in retail and production, to strengthen our position on the Romanian market, stated Horia Cardos, founder and CEO of Agroland Business System.

The new Agroland Suceava store is the first MEGA-format unit opened in Suceava County and the sixth Agroland store in this county. For the opening of the new Agroland Suceava, the company invested approximately 900,000 lei, an amount that does not include the acquisition of merchandise stocks.

The new store covers an area of 280 sqm and includes a range of over 3,500 products. For this year, Agroland’s management estimates that the store will generate sales exceeding 3.5 million lei and will have an average daily traffic of approximately 170 people.

Agroland Group currently operates 236 stores, 29 of which are in MEGA format. Agroland Business System is listed on the AeRO market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange as of March 1, 2021, and trades under the symbol AG.
