SAINT-GOBAIN CELEBRATES 360 YEARS OF HISTORY WITH THE GLOBAL CAMPAIGN “360 YEARS YOUNG”

SAINT-GOBAIN CELEBRATES 360 YEARS OF HISTORY WITH THE GLOBAL CAMPAIGN “360 YEARS YOUNG”

2025 marks the 360th anniversary of Saint-Gobain, highlighting the Group’s global influence, pioneering spirit, and holistic, circular approach to the concept of built space. Founded in 1665 by Louis XIV under the name Manufacture royale de glaces de miroirs, Saint-Gobain has a rich history intertwined with the history of France. Over 360 years, Saint-Gobain has transformed into a global leader in lightweight and sustainable building solutions.

To celebrate this 360th anniversary, Saint-Gobain launched an international communication campaign called “360 Years Young,” designed to honor its heritage while asserting its bold vision for the decades to come. Throughout the year, Saint-Gobain will carry out an extensive program for its 160,000 employees and external partners.

This ambitious project highlights the Group’s core values, iconic achievements, and its commitment to building a healthier, fairer, and more inclusive world. It also reaffirms the role of sustainable construction as a strategic solution to contemporary global challenges – such as climate change, resource conservation, and providing dignified housing for all of the planet’s inhabitants, amid demographic pressures and accelerated urbanization.

The campaign aims to achieve multiple goals: celebrating Saint-Gobain’s history, reinforcing its image as a global leader in sustainable building solutions, and enhancing internal cohesion around a shared vision. Additionally, the campaign seeks to attract future talent, engage strategic partners, and strengthen relationships with customers and business partners.

“360 Years Young embodies our ability to reinvent ourselves while honoring our past. It is a celebration of our pioneering spirit and our collective commitment to building a more sustainable and inclusive future,” said Laurence Pernot, Chief Communications Officer of Saint-Gobain Group. “This anniversary is a unique opportunity to amplify our global influence and share our ambition to make the world a more beautiful and sustainable place for all of us.”

Key elements of the campaign include: • A manifesto film of approximately two minutes, presenting the company’s history through the lens of 360 years of building, innovation, passion, and global impact of Saint-Gobain; • A journey to nine strategic destinations. By November, Saint-Gobain will be present in the United States, France, Brazil, South Africa, Australia, China, India, the UAE, and Poland to celebrate innovation in sustainable construction. These events will bring together employees, customers, and partners to showcase the company’s local and global solutions. The journey will be accompanied by the “360 Video Series,” a documentary series featuring nine episodes of 360 seconds each, exploring emblematic projects and innovative initiatives that reflect the Group’s purpose: Making The World a Better Home. Each stop on this journey will be unveiled through a Future Out of Home (FOOH) campaign on social media; • A special webpage for the 360th anniversary, available on the Group’s website at https://saint-gobain.com/en/360-years. This page will include all campaign content for the external audience, including videos (360 manifesto film, FOOH strategic destinations, 360 video series).

To give this celebration a unique voice, Saint-Gobain has enlisted two international ambassadors: François Gemenne, a climate change expert and member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and Charlotte Kan, a journalist renowned for the human dimension of her stories, which have taken her around the world. Their mission is to embody the spirit of the campaign, be the voice sharing and describing how key events unfolded, telling the Group’s initiatives, and increasing its visibility on social media and in international media.
