Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Thursday’s session in decline; Mecanica Fină and Sinteza see significant gains

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Thursday’s trading session on a negative note, with most indices registering declines. After the first 30 minutes of trading, the total turnover reached 4.756 million lei (almost 956,000 euros). The main index, BET, dropped by 0.12%, while BET-Plus, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks, also decreased by the same percentage.

On the other hand, the BET-XT index, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, fell by 0.08%, and BET-BK, the benchmark for investment funds, lost 0.08%. However, the BET-FI index, tracking the performance of SIFs, gained 0.77%. The BET-NG index, representing the energy and utilities sector, declined by 0.09%, while BET AeRO, which includes 20 companies from the AeRO market, recorded a loss of 0.23%.

The biggest stock gains were seen in Mecanica Fină (+14.74%), Sinteza (+14.71%), and Romcab (+14.59%). Conversely, the most significant declines were registered by Mecanica Ceahlău (-9.73%), Chimcomplex Borzești (-1.83%), and Vrancart (-1.67%).
