Bucharest Stock Exchange opens Friday with declines across all main indices

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Friday with declines across all main indices, recording a total turnover of 4.51 million lei (approximately 907,816 euros), according to Agerpres.

The main index BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a drop of 0.23%, while BET-Plus, reflecting the performance of the most liquid 43 listed stocks, also decreased by 0.23%.

The BET-XT index, which includes the 25 most liquid titles, dropped by 0.30%, and BET-BK, the benchmark for investment fund returns, fell by 0.20%.

The SIF sector saw a significant decrease, with the BET-FI index dropping by 0.90%. The energy and utilities sector, represented by BET-NG, saw a decrease of 0.42%, while BET AeRO, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, suffered the largest decline of 1.06%.

In contrast, the biggest increases were registered by Sinteza (+14.86%), Romcab (+14.63%), and Prefab (+5.03%).

On the other hand, the companies that experienced the most significant declines included AAGES (-2.33%), Chimcomplex Borzești (-2.22%), and Turbomecanica (-1.71%).
