Given the unpredictable evolution of the wildfires, the U.S. authorities have requested the evacuation of the Consulate General of Romania in Los Angeles. Consequently, the consular office is temporarily suspending its activity at its headquarters located at 11766 Wilshire Boulevard, Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA 90025.
Emergency consular services will continue to be provided to Romanian citizens through a mobile consular team, which can be reached at the emergency phone number of the Consulate General of Romania in Los Angeles: +1 310 721 0474.
The MFA advises Romanian citizens in Los Angeles County to follow the instructions of local authorities and call the emergency number 911 in case of imminent danger.
So far, no reports of deceased Romanian citizens have been received, and the consular office has not registered any requests for consular assistance.
The MFA, through the Consulate General of Romania in Los Angeles, continues to monitor the evolution of the wildfires and maintains contact with both local authorities and Romanian citizens in the community.
