The President of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry attended the annual conference of the Union of Liberal Professions in Romania

The President of the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB), Iuliu Stocklosa, attended the Union of Liberal Professions in Romania’s conference, an event focused on encouraging young people to pursue careers in liberal professions.
The event highlighted the vital role and importance of liberal professions for society, especially given the decline in the number of young people choosing these careers, a trend observed both in Romania and across Europe.

The conference aimed to raise awareness of this phenomenon and to generate ideas and opinions that could form the basis of a medium- and long-term strategy to attract young people to liberal professions, thereby contributing to the public good.
During the event, the CCIB President reaffirmed the Chamber’s support for representatives of liberal professions and for the entire business community in the capital.

“The Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry is, and will always be, a reliable partner of the entire business community, promoting performance in entrepreneurship and acting as a bridge for dialogue and collaboration between the private sector and local and national public administration. Regarding today’s event theme, I believe that helping those at the beginning of their careers and supporting them throughout their professional journey is an especially important duty for us, the Chamber of Commerce, as well as for those with experience in various fields. Additionally, the Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry includes among its members several representatives of liberal professions from various sectors and has consistently shown its support for the Union of Liberal Professions in Romania, also signing a collaboration protocol with this organization,” stated Iuliu Stocklosa, President of CCIB.

The CCIB President also noted the Chamber’s involvement in developing dual education programs to specialize young people in various professions.
“Before they become high school or university graduates, young people need to be trained in specialized fields. I hope that you, too, present here, will support this effort, which is also backed by the Romanian Government. It is not an easy task, as entrepreneurs need to invest certain amounts for scholarships and to support dual education. However, at present, no law in Romania protects their investment by guaranteeing that these young people will work for a minimum period in their companies,” stated the CCIB President.

The event was also attended by representatives of state institutions and the Romanian Government.
