Bucharest Stock Exchange gains 3.29 billion lei in market capitalization over the past week

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) saw its market capitalization increase by over 3.29 billion lei in the week ending November 8, 2024, bringing the total capitalization to 347.75 billion lei. This marks a rise from the previous week’s value of 344.46 billion lei, according to Agerpres.

Stock trading volume also surged, reaching 337.10 million lei—more than double the previous week’s turnover of 152.08 million lei. The main BET index closed the week slightly down by 0.55% at 17,470.35 points.

Hidroelectrica shares were the most traded on the main market, with transactions totaling 136.75 million lei and a 0.98% price increase. Other high-activity stocks included Banca Transilvania, which saw transactions worth 41.59 million lei, with no price change, and Societatea Energetică, with 33.6 million lei in transactions and a 3.41% price gain.

The highest price increases were recorded by Carbochim (+18.62%), Turism Felix (+9.03%), and Romcab (+4.65%).
