The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) and the Central Depository (DC) would like to draw public attention to an unlawful campaign that has been conducted lately, under which certain unknown persons deceitfully designate themselves as employees of BVB and DC. These people, who are under no circumstances from BVB and DC, contact investors, potential investors or holders of financial instruments by phone, requesting personal information from them or installing applications on their mobile phones in order to gain access to their bank accounts. Moreover, these people make reference to the websites of our companies, i.e. www.bvb.ro and www.roclear.ro, or use our identity (logo, identification details such as official names, addresses, Trade Register Office numbers etc.) in the communication channels in order to lend credibility to their action and to mislead any potential victims.

We would like to draw your attention to not satisfying the requests received from such people under any circumstances. BVB and DC do not and will not request any personal data or to install any applications on mobile phones in order to obtain money or to made any type of transactions. Furthermore, BVB is not entitled to contact any people in order to propose them to invest in the stock exchange and the only method of investing in the companies listed with the BVB is by opening a trading account with one of the authorised brokers, whose list is available on www.bvb.ro at this LINK.

We recommend you to report any swindling attempt to the competent authorities, namely the Romanian Police (https://www.politiaromana.ro/ro/utile/intrebari-frecvente/unde-ne-adresam).
