Happy birthday BUCHAREST!! 564 years since the first documentary attestation–September 20, 1459 ❤️🇷🇴
On Friday, September 20, Bucharest residents celebrate the city’s birthday. The day marks the 565th anniversary of the first written record of the city’s existence.

On this occasion, on Saturday, September 21, the largest 3D mapping show in the world will take place – a light show will be projected over an area of 23,000 sq metres on the facade of the second largest administrative building in the world – that of the Romanian Parliament.
Guests and residents will be able to watch the show for free between 4:00 pm and 11:00 pm local (and Bulgarian) time. Artificial intelligence will speak to the viewers from the projection surface. The Bulgarian visual effects studio MP-Studi will also participate in the event, titled iMapp Bucharest. The Bulgarian company is known for organizing the Lunar Festival of Lights in Sofia.
There will also be a Street Food Festival on Saturday and Sunday on Constitution Square in front Parliament’s building, defined by the local media as the biggest event of its kind in Europe. Fifty food trucks will offer residents and visitors all kinds of specialties and dishes inspired by all the cuisines of the world. There will also be live music performed by Romanian bands and world DJs. Admission to the event will be free.
