Mixed performance on Bucharest Stock Exchange amid varied index movements

 

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) experienced a mixed session on Wednesday, with a total trading volume of 33.29 million RON (6.69 million euros). Of this, 26.34 million RON (5.29 million euros) were attributed to share transactions.

The most active shares were those of OMV Petrom, which saw transactions amounting to 5.21 million RON, followed by Banca Transilvania with 4.79 million RON, and Fondul Proprietatea with 4.15 million RON.

The BET index, which tracks the 20 most traded companies, fell by 0.16% to 17,479.72 points. The BET-Plus index, which reflects the performance of the 43 most liquid shares, declined by 0.20%. The BET-XT index, encompassing the 25 most liquid stocks, dropped 0.10%, while the SIF index BET-FI increased by 0.47%. The BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment funds, rose slightly by 0.02%, and the BET-NG index, covering ten energy and utility companies, edged up by 0.11%. Conversely, the BET AeRO index, representing 20 companies on the AeRO market, decreased by 0.33%.

Among individual stocks, Carbochim led with a 2.33% gain, followed by Artego (+1.95%) and Fondul Proprietatea (+1.91%). On the downside, Societatea de Constructii Napoca faced a significant decline of 14.72%, Sinteza fell by 12.88%, and Romcab decreased by 4.17%.
