Bucharest Stock Exchange opens lower on Tuesday

On Tuesday, the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) began its trading session with a decline, with turnover reaching 3.7 million lei (approximately 748,300 euros) just 35 minutes after the market opened.

The main index, BET, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded a drop of 0.06%. The BET-Plus index, which monitors the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks at BVB, fell by 0.05%.

Additionally, the BET-XT index, which includes the 25 most liquid titles, saw a decrease of 0.08%. The BET-BK index, which reflects the performance of investment funds, declined by 0.15%.

The BET-FI index, representing the SIFs (Financial Investment Companies), fell by 0.24%, while the BET-NG index, covering the 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, dropped by 0.25%.

Among the stocks that showed the largest gains were Digi (+1.29%), Rompetrol Well Services (+1.27%), and SSIF BRK Financial Group (+1.22%).

Conversely, the biggest declines were noted in the stocks of Electrica (-4.64%), Ropharma (-2.15%), and Simtel Team (-1.12%).
