Bucharest Stock Exchange closes Thursday’s trading session in positive territory

The Bucharest Stock Exchange closed Thursday’s trading session with gains across nearly all indices, with a total transaction value of 45.81 million lei (€9.21 million). The main index, BET, which includes the top 20 most traded companies on the Regulated Market, rose by 0.15% to 18,427.10 points. Similarly, the BET-Plus index, reflecting the performance of the 43 most liquid stocks, increased by 0.14%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most liquid titles, advanced by 0.15%, while the BET-FI index of financial investment companies saw a 0.23% gain. The BET-BK index, a benchmark for investment funds, inched up by 0.09%, whereas the BET-NG index, tracking the energy and utilities sector, closed slightly down by 0.03%. The BET AeRO index, which represents 20 companies from the AeRO market, appreciated by 0.07%.

The most traded stocks were Banca Transilvania, with transactions worth 7.49 million lei, followed by Transelectrica with 4.94 million lei, and OMV Petrom with 3.21 million lei. The best performers included Armătura (+11.11%), Carbochim (+6.8%), and Energopetrol (+5.13%), while the biggest declines were recorded by Impact Developer & Contractor (-4.37%), Purcari Wineries Public Company Limited (-3.9%), and Bittnet Systems (-2.53%).
