Bucharest Stock Exchange Gained 2.2 Billion Lei in the Past Week

The capitalization of the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) rose by over 2.22 billion lei in the past week, reaching 350.33 billion lei, compared to 348.11 billion lei the previous week.

During the period from July 15 to July 19, 2024, trading on the BVB totaled 327.39 million lei, an increase of 40.5 million lei compared to the previous period of July 8 to July 12, 2024.

The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions amounting to 103.79 million lei and a price increase of 1.11%. Following in trading volume were OMV Petrom shares, with a turnover of 62.35 million lei and a 1.82% increase, and Hidroelectrica shares with 32.18 million lei and a decrease of 0.85%.

Notable price increases were seen in Infinity Capital Investments (+5.53%), Longshield Investment Group and UAMT, both up by 4.46%, and UCM Reșița (+4.24%). Conversely, the biggest declines were observed in Energopetrol shares, which fell by 22.41%, Carbochim (-14.04%), and Napoca Construction Society (-13.79%).
