Bucharest Stock Exchange closes lower Thursday’s session
The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Thursday’s session lower on almost all indices, with the total value of transactions reaching 3.26 billion RON (654.67 million euros).
In the total of transactions, the highest value was recorded by bond exchanges, 3.19 billion RON (640.93 million euros), followed by shares, with 63.271 million RON (12.71 million euros).
The most liquid shares were those of the Hidroelectrica company, with transactions of 39.41 million RON, followed by the shares of Transilvania Bank – 13.2 million RON and of OMV Petrom – 2.15 million RON.
The main BET index recorded a depreciation of 0.21%, up to 16,883.08 points, and the BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Stock Exchange, recorded a 0.23% decrease.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, fell by 0.10%, while the index of SIFs, BET-FI, closed the session up by 0.26%.
Likewise, the BET-BK index, the yield benchmark of investment funds, gained 0.11%, and the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, closed down 0.08%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, recorded an appreciation of 0.07%.
The best developments were registered by Grupul Industrial Electrocontact (+12.09%), Armatura (+7.75%) and Antibiotice (+2.96%).
On the other hand, the most important decreases were registered by Energopetrol (-11.57%), Electroarges (-10.89%) and UAMT (-10.66%).
