Two Years Leading ANPC: Horia Constantinescu Reflects on Challenges and Future Directions

Horia Constantinescu, the President of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), shares his unfiltered insights on the two years of his presidency, addressing challenges and outlining future plans.

In a Facebook post, Constantinescu emphasised his commitment to consumer interests and rights, noting the institution’s significant growth during his tenure. He acknowledged facing personal attacks but refrained from resorting to deceitful tactics, promising to reveal those behind the attacks in the future. Gratitude was expressed to Marcel Ciolacu, President of the Social Democratic Party, for unwavering support.

Reflecting on the battles endured, Constantinescu highlighted the establishment of effective communication with major financial operators. He asserted, “Unlike many, I am not the type to deceive, and what I say reflects reality!”

As Constantinescu prepares to present the annual activity report later this week, detailing both 2023 and his entire term, his reflection provides valuable insights into the challenges faced and the resilience demonstrated in steering ANPC toward its goals.
