Exim Banca Romaneasca grants investment loans to SMEs on advantageous terms, in partnership with the European Investment Bank
Exim Banca Romaneasca provides SMEs and mid-caps with a ceiling of EUR 50 million for financing investment projects, on advantageous terms, following a financing agreement concluded with the European Investment Bank.

“The loan agreement with the European Investment Bank allows us to facilitate the access to finance for SMEs, the centrepiece of the economic growth agenda, through a new instrument that complements our product range very well. Exim Banca Romaneasca will continue to be a financier of the economy and, therefore, we aim to exploit, for the net benefit of Romanian entrepreneurs, all available financial resources to accelerate the development of local business”, declared Traian Halalai, Executive President of Exim Banca Românească.
Companies applying for such financing benefit from a reduced interest rate compared to the standard interest rate for an investment loan, and the lending period is correlated with the financed investment project.
The funds can be accessed for the purchase, renovation or expansion of tangible assets, financing the acquisition of land technically essential for investment, the purchase of assets – other than land and buildings, such as construction equipment, for renting to third parties, investments in intangible assets, etc.
Exim Banca Românească is a 100% Romanian universal bank, ranked in top 10 largest credit institutions by assets. The bank offers its corporate clients a wide range of quality products and services, covering the entire financing cycle as well as transactional – financing, guarantees, insurance, treasury products, cash management, factoring and trade finance.
Exim Banca Românească operates a national distribution network of 83 branches and 26 Corporate Units, the latter being dedicated exclusively to companies, a network that allows it to be close to retail and corporate customers and to implement various Romanian and European development programs.
