UniCredit Bank, which is part of the UniCredit Group and one of the major banks in Romania, is listing today, 20 December, its second corporate bonds issue on the stock exchange this year, worth RON 480 million. The bonds will be traded on the Main Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol UCB28.
The corporate, non-guaranteed, senior rank bonds have a nominal value of RON 500,000 and a fixed interest rate of 7.82% per annum. They will mature on 24 November 2028. The UniCredit Bank corporate bond issue in RON is part of a wider program to diversify financing sources, aimed to increase access to funding for the bank customers. The offer was mediated by Alpha Bank Romania.
The bond issue that starts trading today is the 4th listed by UniCredit Bank S.A. with the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The first bond issue listed under ticker symbol UCT18 in 2013 has reached maturity. The second bond issue started trading in 2017 with three different maturity dates, of 3, 5, and 7 years, under ticker symbols UCB20, UCB22 and UCB24 respectively, the last of which will mature on 17 July 2024. The 3rd bond issue of the bank started trading at the beginning of the current year. The UniCredit Bank bonds available for trading amount is reaching RON 1.1 billion today.
