1 December/PM Ciolacu: National Day message of unity should be present in any of our actions
The National Day message of unity should be present in any action of citizens, civil society, business, state representatives or the political class, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu says.

“It is Romania’s National Day, the celebration of all Romanians, a day on which I would be happy to relive the spirit of unity that inspired our forefathers 105 years ago, the ones who achieved the Great Union. The present challenges us to face situations that we could hardly have anticipated just a few years before and that are putting an entire world to the test, and Romania is not exempt either. History and the Great Union of 1918 have confirmed the strength of our unity and, with each new challenge of the present, we have the opportunity to demonstrate that together, we Romanians have the power to achieve our great goals. This implies efforts from all of us and, above all, an understanding of the concerns of every Romanian. I believe that the message of unity of this day should be present in all our actions, whether we refer to citizens, civil society, business, state representatives or the political class. When something tends to divide us, let us remember that we are all Romanians and that we have a common path to follow as a nation, on which the present and the future of the whole society and of each citizen depend,” says Ciolacu in the message sent on Friday, on Romania’s National Day.
He says “a strong Romania, oriented towards development, which is reflected in the economy, but especially in the daily life of Romanians, is a natural objective, capable of uniting us.”
“Many happy returns of the day to all Romanians! Many happy returns of the day, Romania!,” the PM concludes.
