ECITIM Completes 13 Solar Parks in One Year, Following an Investment of Over 6 Million Euros

  • A new solar park will be connected to the grid by the end of the year
  • Through EnergiePentruToti.ro, ECITIM provides an end-to-end management platform for solar energy investments, from registration to energy production settlement
  • The solar park projects are the result of collaboration and contributions from over 500 partners and investors

ECITIM, a Romanian energy start-up and the first company in Romania to enable ordinary citizens to invest in solar energy, has completed 13 solar parks over the past year. These are fully operational and connected to the national electricity grid.

The combined installed capacity of the solar parks exceeds 6 MW, placing ECITIM’s project among the largest collective investments in Romania’s energy sector. The 13 solar parks were developed by ECITIM following an investment of over 6 million euros, in collaboration with and contributions from over 500 partners and investors.

The solar parks incorporate the latest technologies in the field and are strategically located to ensure high energy production yields.

Established in April 2022, ECITIM has thus become one of the most dynamic companies in the local energy industry, with a development strategy focused on maintaining a rapid pace of new solar park construction and connection.

By the end of the year, ECITIM estimates the completion of a new solar park. The next scheduled launch is Corlățel Solar Lake, set for early November, with an installed capacity of 400 KW. This will be the last park sold in the project stage, with future parks being sold after completion and grid connection.

“The completed investments and ECITIM’s development objectives underscore our commitment to contributing to Romania’s energy mix diversification and facilitating energy investments for ordinary Romanians. With 13 solar parks already connected to the grid and other projects underway, we align with national energy transition goals while offering tangible investment opportunities to the general public in a sector with a positive impact on communities and the environment”, says Stelian Muscalu, Development Director at ECITIM.

For 2024, ECITIM’s plans aim to achieve producer status, with licensing procedures already underway. Additionally, the company’s development strategy considers adding another 8 solar parks to its portfolio, allowing for production capacity and offering expansion, while simultaneously consolidating its market position.
