Ambassadors and representatives of 22 Islamic countries condemn aggression on Gaza

Ambassadors and representatives of 22 countries, representing members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Romania, have condemned the “continued aggression” on Gaza, Al-Quds Al-Sharif and West Bank, according to a press release sent by OIC diplomats in Romania, according AGERPRES

Representatives from more than 20 countries gathered on Friday at the Palestinian Embassy in Bucharest in solidarity with the Palestinian people. According to the press release, they called on Romania and other states to provide humanitarian, medical, water and electricity aid and to help open immediate humanitarian corridors to deliver urgently needed aid safely to the Gaza Strip.

State representatives stressed “the importance of preserving the lives of all civilians and not being targeted in any way and strongly condemned the blatant targeting by Israel’s brutal occupying forces of the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip, which killed and injured hundreds of innocent patients, harmed innocent civilians.”

OIC members also called for an immediate end to the “barbaric aggression of the Israeli occupation forces” against the Palestinian people and the immediate lifting of the “siege imposed on the Gaza Strip.”

The meeting was attended by diplomatic representatives from Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Lebanon, Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kazahstan, Kuwait, Libya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Syria, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, Tunisia, Sudan, Pakistan.
