MedLife consolidates the Sfânta Maria brand by making two new purchases, in Craiova and Cluj

- MedLife purchases the full shareholding the Sfântul Ilie Polyclinic in Craiova and the majority shareholding of 51% of the Union Medical Clinic in Cluj.
- The two companies will be under the Sfânta Maria brand umbrella, part of the MedLife Group, especially dedicated to patients that access services in CAS (national health insurance) regime.
- By taking over the two medical units, the Sfânta Maria Network consolidates its presence at national level, being already active in 12 counties in the country: Bucharest, Brăila, Galați, Bacău, Iași, Timiș, Sibiu, Vrancea, Prahova, Argeș, Dolj and Cluj.
- Sfânta Maria is, probably, the network with the highest number of family physicians and specialists in agreement with CAS in Bucharest, being in top 3 at national level.
- In light of this, the representatives of Sfânta Maria intend to cover all the country’s counties.
MedLife, the leader of the Romanian private medical services market and medical operator with the largest know-how in the purchase and mergers scope, announces the purchase of the full shareholding of the Sfântul Ilie Polyclinic in Craiova, as well as of the majority shareholding of 51% of the Union Medical Clinic in Cluj, the new companies will be integrated in the Sfânta Maria Network.
Present on the local market since 2000, Sfântul Ilie Polyclinic is now of the first private clinics in Craiova. With 12 medical specialities, the clinic offers complex medical services and paraclinical investigations in order to address the needs of all patients, thus becoming a reference point in the medical activity at county level. Among the medical specialities that can be accessed in the polyclinic are internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, physical therapy, occupational medicine, neurology, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, ENT, psychiatry and psychology. In 2022, the company recorded a turnover of RON 2.8 million.
On the other hand, Union Medical Clinic has over 10 years’ experience on the Cluj market and offers a diversified array of high quality services, covering 21 medical specialities, among which are cardiology, dermato-venereology, diabetes and nutrition, endocrinology, family medicine, neurology, obstetrics and gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, psychiatry, psychology and urology. Being in a continuous evolution process, the clinic integrates the most recent techniques and medical devices to ensure patient treatment at European standards. The turnover recorded by Union Medical Clinic in 2022 is RON 7.6 million.
